The
Kentucky Horse Park
Located just north of downtown Lexington
at 4089 Iron Works Parkway, the Kentucky Horse Park is “the
place to get close to horses”. Sitting among the vast horse
farms in the horse capital of the world, this venue is the site
of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games and features brand
new state of the art facilities.
The Kentucky Horse Park will provide its visitors, vendors, media
and competitors only the best facilities to make your experience
a memorable one. Some of the facilities include…
- Covered Arena – This 1,100 sqft arena
will host the para-dressage during the WEG 2010
- Indoor Arena – Reining and Vaulting competitions
will take place in this brand new climate controlled indoor arena
capable of holding 6,000 spectators.
- Cross Country – Towards the back of the
Kentucky Horse Park, you will find the gently rolling hills that
will serve as the site for Eventings Cross Country Phase and the
Marathon phase of the Driving Competition.
- Outdoor Stadium – This amazing new facility
will be home to the opening and closing ceremonies, dressage,
eventing and jumping. The normal 7,500 seat capacity stadium will
be expanding with temporary seating to hold up to 30,000 spectators.
- Driving Stadium – This 6,000 seat facility
will host the driving competition upon its conversion from it
current polo field
- Endurance Vet Gate – This area on the
east side of the Horse Park will provide visitors an excellent
view of the Endurance competition.
The Kentucky Horse Park will also feature 800,000 sqft of entertainment
and event space that will provide visitors with trade shows, the
Alltech Experience, vendors, showrooms, the Kentucky Experience,
food and so much more.
